?The organsing committee of the 2018 Bahrain Sports Day had its maiden preparatory meeting, in which the initial points on this year’s event were brought up.
The 2018 Bahrain Sports Day has been scheduled for February 13 and is organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee for the second consecutive time, and targets both citizens and the expat community of all ages.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar said the organizing committee will spare no effort to make the Bahrain Sports Day one of the leading sporting events in the region.
He thanked all ministries, other government authorities, the private sector and all those who are cooperating with the committee to bring this event in bid to promote sports as a healthy lifestyle.

On her part, BOC Arab and International Relations director Fajer Jassim made a presentation on the programme of this year’s Bahrain Sports Day, which begins at 3.30pm at Shaikh Isa Sports City in Riffa.
Nawaf Abdulrahman, the Information Technology expert, spoke about the coverage of the event on a dedicated website that has been already launched and the services being provided online.
The second preparatory meeting will take place on Sunday, February 4, at Hani Royal Hotel at 9am to follow up on the progress made as a build up to this year’s event.
