?The mechanism of the programmes and activities, run by the ministries to celebrate the 2018 Bahrain Sports Day, was presented at the organising committee meeting yesterday (Wednesday).
The 2018 Bahrain Sports Day, scheduled for February 13, is organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee for the second consecutive time, and targets both citizens and the expat community of all ages.
The third meeting hosted by Elite Grand Hotel in Seef, BOC general secretary and organizing committee chairman Abdulrahman Askar had fruitful discussions with members of the committee in putting the final touches on their preparations.
The committee consists of representatives of ministries and other government and private authorities, who presented their respective final programme of activities to be held during the day as part of the 2018 Bahrain Sports Day.
They also looked into the official website of the event, which was recently launched and is now accepting registration online athttp://www.sportsday.bh.
On his part, Askar thanked His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for his directives to allocate half of the workday on Tuesday for sports activities, which reflects His Highness’ approach to encourage all members of Bahraini society to exercise to be a daily lifestyle.
It’s worth noting that the 2018 Bahrain Sports Day will be brought up by a number of ministries, other government authorities, the private sector in an attempt to promote sports as a healthy lifestyle.
The event is organized as per directives of Shaikh Nasser in Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president, and targets both citizens and expats alike.
