?The inaugural meeting of the 2017 Olympic Day organizing committee was held yesterday (Tuesday).
The event Is organized every year by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) as Bahrain joins other parts of the world to celebrate this occasion, which aims to expand awareness on working out on daily basis to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Hasan Abdullatif, chairman of the organizing committee, chaired yesterday’s meeting with heads of the standing committees at the BOC premises in Seef.
Lounes Madene is heading the Competitions Committee, while other heads of the committees are Hasan Ali (Media), Fai Buallai (Federations), Marwa Ahmed (Secretariat), Fatma Al Attawi (IT), Ma’amoon Al Khatib (Public Relations), Fadi Humaidan (Services) and Yaqoub Abdulmohsin (Finance).
Abdullatif and other committees’ representatives discussed a number of new proposals that will be hopefully conducted at this edition of the Olympic Day in Bahrain.
They also reviewed needs of each committee as well as the proposed schedule of the vent and the venues of the main and side activities.
Abdullatif urged the committees’ heads to present him with a perception on the programme of the activities this year, and the total sum of financial aid needed and submit them to the BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar for approval.
