?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar headed the Bahrain delegation at the consultative meeting of the National GCC Olympic Committee  held in Kuwait yesterday (March 2).
The meeting, chaired by Kuwait Olympic Committee general secretary Obaid Al Enezi, was also attend by general secretaries of the GCC – Mohammed Al Kammali (UAE), Mohammmed Al Meshel (Saudi Arabia), Taha Al Kishri (Oman) and Mishal Al Khalifa (Qatar).
Al Enezi started the meeting by thanking chairman of the Bahrain Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the Kingdom of Bahrain efforts in hosting the National GCC Olympic Committees Presidents Meetings held in Bahrain in January 2014.
Late on, the general secretaries reviewed the regulations of joint action, the statute of GCC Sports Organising Committees the beach games bylaw by the Legal Affairs of the GCC General Secretariat after necessary legal adjustments.
The board decided to submit all these regulations to National GCC Olympic committees to prepare their proposals or observations before the next meeting of the Executive Office.
The office which will in turn submit these recommendations to their Highnesses and Excellencies Presidents of National GCC Olympic Committees for final approval.
Askar traveled to Kuwait along with BOC sports advisor Abduljalil Asad and Information Technology director Nawaf Abdulrahman.
