A Level 1 National Coaching Programme course concluded yesterday (Tuesday) with 35 coaches from Bahrain and Kuwait in the fray.
The course was organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) Sports Training and Development Centre, which is located at Manama Club premises in Juffair.
Participants completed 30 hours in this week-long course, which focused on giving the coach the basics of sports training, in addition to making field visits. A total of 768 coaches from Bahrain and abroad have been registered for the National Coaching Programme.
The course is part of the programme, which was founded in Bahrain in 1998 as per agreement between the Sports Training and Development Centre and the Coaching Association of Canada in 1997.
t’s in line with the strategy of the centre to qualify national coaches and empower them to become eligible to engage at their respective organisations.
