?The British Embassy in Bahrain, in partnership with the Bahrain Olympic Committee, will be organising  the  Charity Walk for both able-bodied and children with disabilities to mark the anniversary of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.The event will take place on Saturday, 5 October, between 1600-1800 pm at Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park, in Al Hidd. It is held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.This event aims to connect disabled kids and youth to the inspirational power of the games to ingrates sports in their daily lives and promote the values of equality, peace and reconciliation through sports.The walkathon (around 3 km in length) is open to all – from 11 years and above –For further information on the event please call or email Adnan Alqassab, Event Director, mobile: 39132102 , or email: adnan.alqassab@gmail.com
