?The Bahrain Olympic Committee is putting the final touches on a purpose-built website for Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports.Director of Information Technology Directorate at the Bahrain Olympic Committee Nawaf Mohammed Abdulrahman said the official website of award is near completion and will be launched soon in an attempt to promote this year’s event.Abdulrahman said the award is a distinctive initiative which aims to serve the sports sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and promote it to wider horizons of progress and development.He noted that the lofty goals set up for this award would make it expandable to include other GCC and Arab countries. Therefore, the IT Directorate is sparing no effort in processing the website in order to compatible with the volume of this prestigious award.Abdulrahman said his directorate is currently putting the final touches to launch a website which keeps pace with modern technologies in this area, pointing out that the website design is compatible with all kinds of devices such as smartphones, iPads and laptops.He explained that the website of the award includes a variety of services packages such as media coverage that includes news, photos, award conditions and objectives. It also has a link to an electronic registration for the award as well as many other useful related information.The Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports aims at promoting positive attitudes towards scientific research to industry knowledge and contributes to the development of sports movement.It comes to show appreciation for those who achieve excellence in scientific research in the Kingdom of Bahrain and honor them.Some of the other objectives is fueling the spirit of fair competition among distinguished researchers in the field sports to contribute to the development of sports movement, promoting national scientific talent and motivate them to move toward conducting applied scientific research to develop sport system, and conducting scientific research compatible with the present and future needs of the sports community.
