?A purpose-built tent will start from today (Thursday, June 12) to provide live broadcasting of the much-awaiting 2014 World Cup football matches in Brazil.
Located at Al Areen Wildlife Sanctuary in Sakhir, the tent has been set up in cooperation with the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and H&H Sports and Marketing.
Both the committee and H&H have prepared a packed sports and entertaining programme, which is supported by Diamond Sponsors Fastlink and other companies from the private sector, throughout this month-long major global football event.
Today’s opening ceremony of the tent will be held under the patronage of BOC board member and Southern Governor Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
H&H manager Maya Nesaif said the tent represents a special gathering for all the Bahraini athletes and other sports representatives, including coaches, administrators and referees from different sports federations who will be invited to attend the matches.
Maya added that several fabulous prizes will be raffled on the free tickets to be given to the attendees at the entrance.
Prizes include smartphones, air tickets, car rental, a free stay at the five-star Al Areen Resort and many other awards to be announced soon
According to Maya, the organizing committee of this gathering is also planning to attract some of the GCC’s football stars to attend the ‘Mundial Tent’.
She noted that a special sport supplement on the programmes and activities, to be featured at the tent, will be issued by Al Watan Newspaper in cooperation with the Bahrain Sports TV Channel.
