?Qanas – mascot of the U-19 AFC Football Championship – started his visits as part of a massive campaign to promote for the event, which hosts from October 13 to 30.
The falcon-dressed character, joined by Bahrain Football Association (BFA) board member and championship ‘s marketing committee chairman Aref Al Mannai and communication and marketing director Mohammed Al Quti, made his first visit to the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
They were welcomed by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, BOC board member and woman’s sport committee chairwoman Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa and other high-ranking committee officials.
Askar welcomed the BFA representatives and commended the organizing committee efforts in promoting this major international football event, and wished them success.
