?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar stressed the importance of implementing Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa directives to look for new investment opportunities to finance the committee plans and support the sports federations programmes.
This was announced following Askar meeting with BOC board member and marketing committee chairman Abdulla Al Dossary, in presence of BOC marketing head Mahmood Ashoori, at the committee premises in Seef.
Askar and Al Dossary had discussions that aim to further develop the role of the marketing committee in order to draw more attention from candidate sponsors to support BOC and sports federations programmes.
Al Dossary presented a range of perceptions of the committee for the upcoming stage, which include a marketing plan for 2018 and 2019, as well as initiating partnership channels with some of the most renowned firms in Bahrain, and list all programmes of the Olympic Committee and federations at once.
Both parties also had talks on the proposed candidates joining the Marketing Committee, as Askar expressed willingness to provide all forms of support to the committee during the next phase.
He pointed out that the marketing committee of the BOC will work side by side with Al Dossary and his panel to achieve the aspirations of the BOC.
