?A Level 4 National Coaching Programme course got underway yesterday (Sunday) with coaches from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in the fray.
The course is being organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) Sports Training and Development Centre is organising and in cooperation with the Coaching Association of Canada.
It’s part of the annual plan of the Sports Training and Development Centre in an attempt to develop the level of the national coaches representing various sports organisations in the kingdom of Bahrain.
John Trombley, a member of the Coaching Association of Canada and supervisor of sports analysis laboratory at the University of Montreal in Canada, is presenting the course.
The course focuses on physiology and power systems, where instructors will learn about the physiology and athletes’ evaluation tests besides power systems for each sport.
At the end of the course, a questionnaire to identify the participants’ views about the scientific content will be take place.
The coaches will also be submitting a level evaluation exam in December 2016, in addition to presenting their annual plans for discussions, to be supervised by a representative from the Coaching Association of Canada.
