?Bahrain Olympic Committee employee Hasan Juma recently attended the 55th International Session for Young Participants of the International Olympic Academy (IOA), being held in Greece.
The programme, which concludes tomorrow, is being staged at the International Olympic Academy premises in Ancient Olympia.
Juma said he had benefited from this two-week visit, which featured a packed programme for all the participants.
The programme includes meetings and presentations of the discussion group coordinators and participants, briefing on administrative matters, the organization of the discussion groups as well as the sports and cultural activities.
More than 170 athletes and instructors from 70 countries are attending the event, placed under the special theme of “Olympic Movement: The process of renewal and adaption”.
The 55th International Session for Young Participants of the International Olympic Academy was declared open by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopios Pavlopoulos, during a ceremony on the Hill of the Pnyx in Athens.
