A packed programme has been set  for the 19th meeting of the GCC Women’s Sports Organising Committee in the Kingdom of Bahrain today (Monday, November 9).
The meeting will be held on the sidelines of the Fourth GCC Women’s Volleyball Championship, which will take place in Bahrain from today.
To be chaired by Shaika Naima Al Ahmed Al Subah of Kuwait, the meeting will bring a number of significant subjects  on the committee agenda, such as the report of the 18th meeting held in Kuwait, as well as determining the schedule of the First GCC Women’s Junior Handball Championship in 2015.
Today’s meeting will also discuss the timetable of the Third GCC Junior Championship in the UAE in 2015, the Fourth Women’s GCC Games in Oman from March 8 to 18, 2015, and a proposal from Bahrain to include the sustainability of the previous edition games in the coming edition of the Women’s GCC Games. 
On this occasion, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) member and Women’s Sport Committee chairwoman Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa said she is pride to have this meeting in Bahrain, aimed to promote joint GCC action and boost the youth and sports movement in the region.
Meanwhile, Shaikha Hayat and other senior sports officials welcomed Sayyida Sana bint Hamad Al Busaidi who arrived in Bahrain yesterday, while in Shaikha Naima is expected to touch down today.
