The standing committees of the recently-organised First Charity Futsal Championship were honored by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar presents special awards to the organising committee of the tournament, which was held under the patronage of Southern Governor Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
During his meeting with Organising Committee chairman Ebrahim Al Badri and other committee members, Askar commended their efforts in conducting the competition and contributing to its success.
The BOC general secretary also noted the noble causes of the championship, which aimed to help children with cancer to explore their skills and talents.
Askar expressed pride and pleasure for the fruitful partnership between the BOC and the Organising Committee of the championship in an attempt to adapt community support programmes and harnessing sport to fulfil the society goals.
On his part, Al Badi thanked the BOC for supporting the event, and noted that the competition has brought several young football players and officials with promising skills in their respective areas.
