?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar said the programme “Estijabah” (Response), a programme designed to produce a new vigour in the sports sector of Bahrain, will achieve a quantum leap in youth and sports sectors.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, has launched the programme recently following a decree for the year 2018 to form a Committee for coordination, implementation and follow-up, that is specialised in preparing periodic reports and recommendations to develop and to find required solutions to achieve the Council’s ambitions. 
It aims to create a new march for Bahraini sports as it coincides with the vision of the wise leadership for developing Kingdom’s sports sector and exploiting its great resources to advance the youth of Bahrain.
Askar said the programme with its vision and ideas reflects the Shaikh Nasser’s keenness to promote the youth and sports sector and provide all that would expand its achievements, which underlines his belief in the importance of supporting the youth, and those who play a major part in achieving development in this country.
Askar extended her appreciation for the efforts of Shaikh Nasser, who confirmed that the launch of’ Response’ also aims to organise and better manage the government budgets.
Askar noted the keenness of the Bahrain Olympic Committee to support the “Response” programme and to harness all efforts and energies in order to transform the aspirations and goals of His Highness into reality in cooperation, coordination, follow-up and implementation committees set up by His Highness recently to boost the youth and sports in Bahrain for a better future under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
