​​​​The Bahraini Olympic Committee is an independent civil body with legal personality and is a member by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It has all the rights and obligations set forth in the Olympic Charter.

It's main objective is to support, protect, develop and regulate the Olympic sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the Olympic Charter and is subject to the supervision of sports federations.​


The law of social and cultural societies, clubs and  private bodies in the field of youth and sports and private institutions issued by Legislative Decree No. (21) of 1989 and amended by Legislative Decree No. (44) of 2002, Decree Law No. (42) of 2009, and Decree No. (50) of 2010.
