?President of the International Council for Health, Physical, Education, Recreation, Sport and Dance (ICHPER.SD) Dr Adel El Nashar expressed pride for having the 56th edition of the ICHPER.SD Anniversary World Congress and Exposition in Bahrian.
The congress is scheduled to take place from December 18 to 20, and is a result of a partnership between the Bahrain Olympic Committee and the University of Bahrain.
El Nashar said the congress will bring a number of recommendations to be submitted in an official statement on the concluding day in an attempt to improve sport in Bahrain and the Arab region at all levels.
El Nashar commended the facilities made available by the BOC, headed by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in an attempt to make this international event organized in Bahrain for the first time, a very successful one.
The ICHPER.SD President praised the continued support of BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, who has been so keen to follow up the preparations and arrangements made by the standing committee to host the next edition of the world congress.
He also noted that the cooperation from the ’Scientific Partners’ the University of Bahrain, especially its president Dr Ebrahim Janahi, Physical Education Dean Dr Muna Al Ansari and Higher Studies Dean Dr Huda Al Khaja, is a major boost to the congress.
He stressed the significance of the scientific research of the upcoming congress, which aim to develop sports movement, taking into consideration the strong bound linking science with sport.
El Nashar indicated that the scientific research have become the only way to develop sports movement as it’s based on a number of methods, statistics and studies that monitor problems and setup appropriate solutions.
“The congress in Bahrain will highlight the theme ‘Towards Building a New Sport System’, as it aims to keep pace with global developments and showcases latest topics related to various sport science. It also discusses scientific research and academic studies that enrich the sports system,” said El Nashar.
