The Sports Training and Development Section of the Bahrain Olympic Committee is organising a level 4 course of the National Coaching Programme at its premises in Juffair.
This five-day course, supervised by Ali Qamber, is being conducted by André Lachance, a professional instructor from Canada with a vast coaching experience.
He has been baseball operations manager since 2001 in Ottawa, as well as a part-time professor at Ottawa University.
Other professional experience or Lachance include his term as a technical director at Quebec Federation of Amateur Baseball, in Montreal from 1996 to 2001, besides working as a sport coordinator between 1992 and 1996.
The course, sponsored by Gulf Raffle and Chevron Bahrain, brings a number of coaches from national sports clubs and federations as well as private sector organisations from Bahrain and other GCC countries.
The National Coaching Programme features 12 training missions, as the Sports Training and Development Section seeks to present a series of similar course as per their annual plan.
