?Secretary General of the Nasser Bin Hamad Scientific Research Award in the field of sports Dr. Abdulrahman Sayyar announced the final recommendations of the Scientific Research Forum on Sports Economics, organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee from 3 to 5 May.
Sayyar stressed that the forum has made several key recommendations, the first of which is to urge scientific and technological competencies to serve developmental issues with economic priority.
The forum also called to establish a fund to support sport in cooperation with the Bahrain Olympic Committee and the private sector, and to benefit from the experiences of developed countries in the selection of talented athletes and build bridges of cooperation as well as sign up appropriate agreements in this regard.
Among other recommendations are to adopt a national strategy to select young talents in cooperation with the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, the Ministry of Education and sports federations, in order to follow appropriate scientific standards for the selection process.
Preparing leading personnel by involving them in advanced training programmes in the field of renewable energy, digital marketing, electronic security, artificial intelligence and emphasizing on school sports and its outputs to create a large foundation of practitioners and consider sports as a typical lifestyle, in addition to using physical education for fitness and health, and how to use dietary supplements when needed.
