Information Affairs Ministry’s Bahrain Television director Yousef Mohammed vowed to offer better broadcasting services of sports competitions in Bahrain.
This statement was announced yesterday (Wednesday) after a coordination meeting with reprsentatives of six sports federation – football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, handball and bowling – at the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) premises in Seef.
Mohammed said he was pleased for this initiative, which is a step in the right direction in an attempt to help the Bahrain Sports Channel bring the best services for its followers.
He stressed the importance of this meeting to coordinate with the sports federations to ensure appropriate coverage of most domestic sports activities. Mohammed noted that the Bahrain Sports Channel had telecasted 476 sports events between October 2015 and April 2016.
On his part, BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar expressed appreciation for the efforts of the authority and its commitment to provide all that would satisfy sports competition followers in the kingdom of Bahrain.
He added that the BOC has already hosted a similar meeting last year, resulting in activating the cooperation between the two sides to provide live coverage of as many sports competitions as possible.
