?The Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) Sports Affairs Directorate is organizing a workshop for the committee’s sports associations affairs staff, in addition to the general secretaries in the sports federations.
In the framework of the committee’s keenness to activate the sports associations evaluation process. The workshop is scheduled to take place from January 18 to 22 to explain the frameworks and standards in evaluation.
Speaking at the workshop will be Vice President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee Dr. Sari Hamdan, who has a vast experience in the field of sports management.
The firstd day programme also includes a workshop assigned to the sports affairs employees who are responsible for the assessment to know the objectives and basic principles of strategic planning, in addition to the procedures for evaluation and decision-making, and how to prepare strategic plans, its steps, and objectives specifications, and the contents of the evaluation.
On the second day, the main subject of the workshop is to identify strategic ways, means of achieving high performance, youth development and expanding the foundation, training and various corners of the game, human resource management, budgeting and strategic planning.
The workshop continues on the third day and targets the sports affairs specialists as the programme focuses on identifying the budget and revenues process, and reviewing practical applications on the evaluation form.
On the fourth day, the workshop will be dedicated to the general secretaries of sports federations to explain the balanced scorecard, specifications and contents, besides identifying the strategic tracks, high performance, youth development, expanding the foundation, training ways, human and financial resources management and strategic planning.
Finally, the programme concludes on the fifth day with the presentation of the revenue stream, the practical applications on how to prepare plans and how to use its own model.
The Sports Affairs Directorate will train sports federations on how to set up strategies, and will introduce the standards through which their performance will be measured, as further tests will be conducted on them to know the extent of their understanding.
