?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), headed by committee president and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today (May 14) will hold its third meeting at the committee premises in Seef.
A number of issues on the committee’s agenda will be brought up in today’s meeting, such as the internal financial and administrative bylaws, as well as unified bylaws of the sports federations.
The BOC strategy, based on the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports policies and the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of plans and programs, will be among the main subjects discussed at the meeting.
BOC acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar will submit reports on domestic and overseas meetings and activities during the meeting, in addition to the main statute of the committee after it was approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The committee board will also review the IOC’s Olympic Solidarity programmes in 2014 and ways to benefit from them through coordination with national sports federations, as well as holding talks on future conferences and events for the BOC.
