?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has set up its own corner for this year’s Third Khalid bin Hamad Arabian Horse Racing Cup Festival for people with disabilities, which got underway yesterday (March 6).
The BOC section features children paintings, which focus on the values and principles of the Olympic movement, in addition to the presentation of publications that highlight different activities and programs of the committee.
The corner also showcases latest medical equipment available at the National Sport Medicine Centre at the BOC, in addition to providing medical advice and guidance about the dangers of sports doping in sport.
It’s the second successive time that the BOC is contributing to the festival activities, which is part of its commitment to achieving its aspiration, aimed at merging people with special needs within the Bahraini society by consolidating the noble meanings of the sports movement.
The two-day event is taking place at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club with prominent riders from Jordan, the UAE, Oman, Egypt, Morocco and host nation Bahrain taking part.
