The second weekly session of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Ramadan sport majlis will be held today (June 19).
Scheduled to take place at the committee premises in Seef, today’s sessions will be open to representatives of sports associations, administrators, referees, athletes and media.
This first-of-its-kind initiative, presented by the BOC for the first time in Ramadan, and is in line with the BOC commitment to strengthen ties with sports authorities in Bahrain, to promote its community partnership plan with different sports organisations in Bahrain.
BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar invited all sports figures in Bahrain to attend this week’s gathering and discuss some of the highly-debated sports issues.
He noted that the idea of this gathering is part of the committee’s programmes launched as per the directives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President, aimed to strengthen relations with the Bahrain sports community.
The committee has already sent invitations to top figures from sports club, associations, athletes and media personnel to share their thoughts and opinions about any sports-related subjects.
