The Bahrain National Olympic Committee (BOC) is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Established in 1979, the BOC is a non-governmental, autonomous corporate legal entity, encompassing all national sports federations and associations in Bahrain.
The Committee is governed by a Constitution in line with the requirements of the IOC Olympic Charter. The Constitution sets outs the Committee’s overall rights and roles; as well as the specific functions of the General Assembly, the Board of Directors, the President and the Secretary General.

The BOC is supported by a robust operating infrastructure, with a Secretariat comprising administrative, financial and liaison functions; plus technical centres of excellence covering sports performance and assessment; sports training and development; sports medicine and rehabilitation; and anti-doping governance.
The Committee has established enduring relationships with leading international, continental and regional sports bodies, through which to encourage the exchange of sports expertise and experience. The BOC is a member of the Association of National Olympic Committees, the Olympic Council of Asia, the Arab Sports Games Federation, the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, and the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation.
