The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has stepped up its preparations to host a couple of significant GCC meetings in Bahrain from November 9 to 11.Bahrain will first host the 78th GCC National Olympic Committee Presidents’ meeting, to be followed by the 12th GCC Sport Organising Committee Presidents’ meeting.The working committees for this event have already been formed. They are media, housing and transport, secretarial, public relations, information technology and financial committees. The Media Committee is headed by Mohammed Lori and includes Nedal Bahrain, Hassan Mansoor, Hassan Ali, Rami Ayoob, Ali Al Halwachi, Fawazz Shamsan, Abduljalil Al Kooheji and Yousef Khairi.The housing and transport committee consists of head Hamad Al Baker, Abdulrazzaq Zainuddin, Hood Al Mannai, Isa Ahmed, Khalid Fuad, Isa Al Thawadi and Siddiqe Mattar, while the Secretarial Committee features Mohammed Al Zayed, Mohammed Qamber, Isa Ahmed, Mohammed Al Balooshi, Aisha Rashdan and Maryam Madi.Fajer Jassim was named head fo the public relations and ceremonies committee, which also includes Yaqoub Buhaza, Khalid Haji, Hassan Abdulla and Hassan Abdulrahim.The information technology committee is headed by Nawaf Abdulrahman, and consists of Mohammed Bashayra and Mohammed Rafiq, while Hassan Al Khaja and Ahmed Al Omari are representing the financial committee.The programme for both meeting was also approved. The Executive Office members and coordination and Follow Up Office members are scheduled to arrive in Bahrain on November 8, as the latter meeting is due to take place on the same day at 9.30am.The consultative meeting of the Executive Office will be held the following day at 10.30am, while a gala dinner in honor of the general secretaries of the National Olympic Committees is set for 8.30pm start.The 78th Executive Office meeting is scheduled for November 10 at 10.30am, with the joint meeting of the Executive Office and the GCC Organizing Committees heads due to take place the following day at 10.30am.Later in the day, a joint gala launch for all guests will be held at 1.20pm, while all delegations are scheduled to depart on November 12.
