?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) yesterday (Oct. 2) hosted a meeting with the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation to oversee its future plans and programmes.The meeting was chaired by BOC acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, in the presence of BDSF president  Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa and other officials from both parties.During the meeting, Askar was briefed on the programmes of the federation as well as their engagement in international competitions in the near future.He was also briefed on the new employment structure at the federation and ways to activate local competitions in order to develop disabled sports.On his part, Shaikh Ahmed referred to the usage of the federation’s sports gym and stressed the importance of establishing co-operation in advance as so not to affect the activities and programmes of the federation.Also present at the meeting were BDSF vice-president Jassim Hassan, BOC acting sports affairs executive director Hisham Al Blooshi, BOC sports associations executive co-ordinator Hamad Al Baker and sports associations specialist Salha Al Rumaihi.
