?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) board of directors today (Monday, May 18) will hold its annual ordinary General Assembly meeting at the Sofitel Hotel in Zallaq.
Scheduled to commence at 7pm,  the meeting will bring up several crucial issues on its agenda, such as approving reports of the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly meetings both held on June 11, 2013 in regards to the amendments made on the BOC statute.
The board will also review the administrative report of 2013, featuring the programmes and events organised by different directorates of the committee, in addition to the overseas participations and different achievements that were accomplished in 2013.
Today’s meeting will also bring up the 2013 concluding financial report, approved by the auditor, as well as presenting the plans and programmes of the BOC, the new budget of the committee in 2014 and discussing suggestions submitted by members of the General Assembly.
The BOC has sent out invitations to 28 sports federations to attend the meeting and they include football, volleyball, basketball, handball, equestrian and endurance, athletics, table tennis, swimming, cycling, weightlifting and bodybuilding, fencing, badminton and squash, maritime sports, billiards and snooker.
Other sports federations are triathlon, mind games, cricket, gold, tennis, bowling, shooting, disabled sports, martial arts, motor sports, sport for all, air sports, pigeons and the players committee, headed by BOC board member Ruqaya Al Ghasra.
