The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) is committed to ensuring a clean sports environment in the Kingdom that is free from doping, in order to protect athletes and the integrity of sport.
This commitment is underlined by the leadership and directives of H.H. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the BOC; and supported by the initiatives of H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
The BOC complies with the relevant rules and regulations of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), which was initiated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to promote, coordinate and monitor the global fight against drugs in sport. As a signatory to the UNESCO International Convention Against Doping in Sport, which was signed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and ratified in December 2008, the BOC adopts the World Anti-Doping Code of WADA (the Code).
