?A course in biomechanics, organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s Sports Training and Development Section, concluded on Tuesday.

This three-day course – which was part of the section’s annual plan and aimed at qualifying coaches in a variety of sports – saw 32 coaches, including 20 national tacticians and 12 from other GCC countries, in the fray.

In addition to participants from Bahrain, other coaches have come from Saudi Arabia (5), Qatar (2), the UAE and Kuwait (1 each).
The course was conducted by Dr Mark Sayers, a sports biomechanist and a coordinator of the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast, in Australia.
