Bahrain’s Adam Batirov training programme for this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro was given the go-ahead by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
In his meeting with the Bahrain Martial Arts Federation president Eng. Ahmed Al Khayyat, BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar reviewed the programme of the Bahraini wrestler before heading to the Brazilian capital for the Olympics taking place from August 5 to 21.
Askar, who was also briefed on the federation’s new strategy and future programmes, commended the recent outstanding results of the federation at regional and international competitions.
On his part, Al Khayyat extended his gratitude to the BOC, headed by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and his continued support to the federation, which played a major part in its achievements.
