?Two representatives from the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) recently returned from Cairo after attending the 14th Regulatory and Management Course.
Sports Associations Affairs specialist Salha Al Rumaihi and Senior Sports Award specialist Asma Al Kaabi were present at this week-long course, which was held under the theme ‘Quality in Sports Management’.
The course was organized by the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees and the Technical Secretariat of the Arab Youth and Sports Ministers, and the Egyptian and Youth and Sports Ministry.
A number of topics were brought up at the event, such as quality in sports management, developing human cadres, technical applications, the relationship between sports organisations with government bodies, as well as the sports role in preservation of the environment and wildlife.
It was developed to prepare technical personnel capable of enriching the regulatory and management process within various organising committee at regional sporting events. 
Other objectives of the course include the boost of scientific and cultural levels in all that is new and modern in the field of sports regulatory and management, consolidate efforts to develop Arabic sports movement, raising the level of support to prepare sports leaders, secure sports facilities and stadiums, as well as modernizing laws and regulations for sports bodies.?
