The conference will be organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) on the second half of April, 2018 in an attempt to present best physical literacy programming across the globe.
The Committee has initiated its preparations for this highly-anticipated event, with BOC sports affairs executive director Abduljalil Asad chairing the organizing committee first meeting in Seef area.
According to Asad, the BOC will be signing an agreement with two leading Canadian sports conferences management firms – Podium and Sport for Live to win the rights to bring this event to Bahrain.
Askar added that the conference promises to attract large number of leaders, practitioners and stakeholders of physical literacy from around the world to engage in a truly collaborative environment.
Legal consultant Salah Khedr, Mohammed Lori, Hasan Abdullatif, Fajer Jassim, Hasan Al Khaja, Ahmed Al Omari, Ahmed Ali and Mahmood Ashori are other members of the organizing committee.
The International Physical Literacy Conference (IPLC) is designed to bring together health, education, sport and recreation experts and practitioners, and policy-makers from around the world to share research and best practices.
A conference of this caliber is paramount as childhood obesity and rising inactivity among children threatens the future health of many nations around the world.
