Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Secretary General Abdulrahman Askar has revealed the committee keenness to take part at the next Olympics Games, to be hosted in Tokyo, Japan in 2020.
This announcement came at his reception of Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Hideki Ito at the BOC offices in Seef.
The meeting was as per directives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President, as Bahrain looks forward to make their marks at the Tokyo Olympics.
Askar also expressed the committee’s willingness to support the organising committee with all its capabilities in order to make this global event a very successful one.
On his part, the Japanese Ambassador thanked the committee for its interest to take part and support the organisers, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain progress and prosperity.??
