?The Kingdom of Bahrain has stepped up its preparations for the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palemgang.
The games, which is organized in Jakarta for the second time, will run from August 18 to September2 with 45 National Olympic Committees are expected attend sending around 15,000 athletes and team officials.
Bahrain’s administrative team to the games had a meeting to follow up on the delegation progress made ahead of their trip to the far east.
Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and delegation manager Bader Nasser and his deputy Ali Yasine attended a meeting with representatives of the sports federations taking part.
They were Taha Al Shmlan (cycling), Abdulla Al Raees (bowling), Ahmed Al Durazi and Saleh Faraj (fencing), Meshari Al Hanafi and Haider Al Zu’bi (equestrian), and Kasem ben Jemai (maritime sports).
Nasser was presented with all the needs of the federations, who were urged to prepare their respective lists of the team well ahead of the games.
