Askar vows to back sports medicine centre

?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar affirmed the committee’s commitment to develop the National Sports Medicine Centre services and hire some of the world’s best medical teams to provide high-end treatment for sports affiliates in Bahrain.
This came at his meeting with Specialized orthopedic surgeon Dr. Klemen Strazar, during his recent three-day visit to Bahrain.
The Slovenian surgeon’s visit followed an agreement with the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) National Sports Medicine Centre to offer his expertise in the field of sports injuries and surgeries.
His visit was important step to provide treatment of many injured athletic and non-athletic patients at the centre during this visit.
Askar said he was pleased for the ongoing cooperation between the centre and the Slovenian surgeon, and invited him to repeat his visit to Bahrain to benefit from his vast experience in sports injuries treatment.
On his part, Strazar shared the same thoughts as he made his first-ever visit to the kingdom and noted the efforts of the Bahrain Olympic Committee to develop medical services in Bahrain. He wished for this cooperation to continue in the future.
