?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar said the committee is eager to help the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) in overcoming its challenges in an attempt to continue its series of past successes achieved by disabled sports.
This came during his meeting with BDSF president Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa at the BOC premises in Seef.
Askar asserted the importance of having stability within the board of directors of the federation and providing the best conditions for them to continue the march of giving and achievements.
Also during the meeting, Askar expressed willingness to provide all means of support to the federation in order to ensure smooth conduct of all their plans and programmes, noting the distinctive efforts of the federation to develop disabled sports in Bahrain.
Askar noted that the BOC, headed by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is giving great attention to the BDSF for being one of the federations which attracts a large number of athletes with special needs, and hoped that the federation would double their efforts to achieve their aspirations.
On his part, Shaikh Ahmed expressed thanked and appreciation to the BOC acting general secretary for his continued cooperation and communication with all national sports federations, and lauded the role of the committee in boosting the march of his federation.
Shaikh Ahmed said the federation spare no effort in achieving more goals, while maintaining its gains and improving the march of disabled sports in the kingdom.
