?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar said the committee is eager to help the Bahrain Bowling Association (BBA) in overcoming its challenges in bringing the upcoming GCC Bowling Championships to Bahrain.
The BBA is hosting the 13th edition of the regional championship, set to take place next month from May 6 to 13.
This came during Askar’s recent visit to the BBA premises, where he met president of the association Abdulla Al Dossary, his treasurer Waleed Al Othman and national teams manager Khalid Al Khaja.
Accompanied by BOC sports associations affairs director Hisham Al Blooshi, executive coordinator Hamad Al Baker and associations affairs specialist Mohammed Qamber, Askar asserted the committee’s keenness to make sure this event is a great success.
Askar was briefed by the association officials on their preparations to host the championships, as well as their present needs, and wished them progress.
Late on, he toured the association premises and inspected its facilities, then witnessed part of the Bahrain men’s and women’s national teams training.
On his part, Al Dossary extended his gratitude on behalf of the BBA board to the committee for its continued cooperation to all sports associations, in general, and the bowling association in spefic, which has contributed to its past successes.
