?Bahrain Olympic Committee acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar yesterday received at his office in Seef Retired Gen. Yaqoob Al Lahdan, who presented him with a copy of his book ‘Yaqoob Al Lahdan… a career of giving’.
Askar hailed the long sporting and military career of Al Lahdan, which is full of giving and achievements.
He then looked into the book content which highlighted the sports experiences of the author, who previously worked at the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Bahrain Athletics Association and the Military Sports Federation.
Askar emphasized the importance of documenting these successful experiences and biographies of various leading sports figures in Bahrain, noting the outstanding successes achieved by Al Lahdan throughout his career, and wished him further successes.
On his part, Al Lahdan expressed thanks and appreciation to the Acting general secretary, pointing out that this book is a simple documentation of his sports career which was over the past several decades, calling on other sports personalities to follow suit and document their respective careers in order to become a legacy for future generations.
