?His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has designated Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), to form a joint committee featuring members of the BOC and the Bahrain Football Association to support Olympic team.The team was crowned champions of the recently-concluded Fifth GCC Football Championship, which took place in Bahrain.Acting general secretary of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Abdulrahman Askar had announced this decision at his meeting with Vice-President of the  Bahrain Football Association for Financial and Administrative Affairs Ahmed Al Nuaimi, during which they agreed to activate the mechanisms of joint work between the Committee and the association to implement the Royal directives .Askar said that the formation of this committee aims to have a joint co-ordination for the preparation of joint mechanisms to provide full support for players, taking into account the need to create ideal conditions for the development of the technical level of the team and its competitiveness ability and win championships on regional and international levels.Askar said that the Royal directives to support the Olympic team underlines the unlimited support enjoyed by the sports and youth movement from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and an evidence of His Majesty ‘s keenness to create fertile base in order to strengthen Bahrain’s position on the regional, continental and global levels .On his part, Vice President of the Bahrain Football Association for financial and administrative affairs Ahmed Al Nuaimi welcomed this decision, calling it a positive step that is in the right direction to back the Olympic team and provide all forms of support to them in an attempt to enable them compete and achieve the best results.Al Nuaimi expressed readiness of the Bahrain Football Association to begin fruitful cooperation with the Bahrain Olympic Committee to implement the Royal directives for the best of this young team during the next phase.
