Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar commended the four-year strategic plan of the Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) to develop its national teams.
This statement was announced after his visit to the association premises where he met president of the Bahrain and Arab Volleyball Association Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
Askar was briefed on the strategic plan between 2016 and 2020 in bid to help the team reach excellence in future GCC, Arab and Asian championships.
Another presentation on the national teams preparations and a set of initiatives which the association plans to implement were also brought up at the meeting.
Askar showed relief for the plan and noted some observations to boost the work plan of the association while urged them to benefit from the services provided by the National Sports Medicine Centre and the physical performance laboratory to achieve their aspirations.
Also present were BOC board member Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa and BOC sports affairs acting executive director Jalil Asad, BVA vice-president Mohammed Al Thawadi, BVA general secretary Feras Al Halwachi, BVA National Teams Committee chairman Jehad Khalfan and BVA technical manager Yousef Khalifa.
