?Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar received at his office in Seef Bahrain Swimming Association (BSA) general secretary Faisal Swar, who presented to him the association’s plans and programmes.
Both officials had talks on the present activities being organised by the associations, as well as future plans. They also spoke on the national teams international participations, in addition to the association’s financial and administrative subjects.
Askar affirmed the committee’s concern for swimming, which is regarded one of the Olympic sports and is therefore one of the priorities of the BOC.
He commended the achievements of the associations under the presidency of Shaikh Hashim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and his efforts in boosting swimming in the kingdom, and wished them progress.
Askar also noted that the BOC would spare no effort in providing all kind of backing to the BSA in an attempt to overcome all that would stand as an obstacle in front of the association’s bid to achieve its aspirations. The meeting was also attended by BSA National Teams Committee head Tareq Juma.
