?The next edition of the West Asia Games is likely to take place in 2014, the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) announced yesterday (OCT. 26).This came during the 15th West Asian Games Federation General Assembly meeting held in Kuwait over the weekend.Representing Bahrain in this meeting were BOC acting general secretary Abdulrahman Sadeq Askar and International Affairs coordinator Abdulrahman Al Zayed.Chaired by federation president Talal Al Fahad Al Sabah, the meeting also discussed a number of topics on its agenda.Some of these subjects were approving the previous meeting report as well finalizing administrative reports and the past financial data of the federation.The General Assembly also looked into the proposals submitted by the federation board of directors as well as from other National Olympic Committees.One of these proposals were organising West Asian Beach, martial arts and futsal Games in the future. Invitations will be soon sent to the nations interested in hosting these Games.The federation members also reviewed the formation of sub committees of the West Asian Games Federation, and addressing National Olympic Committees to promptly name its candidates to become members of these committees.
