Executive Director of the sports affairs at the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), Abduljalil Assad, in the presence of Director of Information, Public Relations and Marketing at the BOC, Mohammed Lori, Saudi voyager, Nasser Al-Qahtani, who recently arrived to the Kingdom coming from the eastern province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of his walk-tour to the capitals of the GCC countries under the slogan “Unite and hold up to holly Qura’arn”.
Asad welcomed Al-Qahtani and conveyed regards of Assistant secretary-general of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and general secretary of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, and his wishes of success in his unique walk-tour.
Asad described the tour as “a tough adventure” which carries high profile national, sports, tourism and awareness messages stressing that Al-Qahtani is a specimen example for the challenge and highlight the true face of the sport that should be spread out in society. Asad pointed out that what Al-Qahtani is doing is considered one of the many goals of the Olympic Solidarity which supports spreading sports among people and make a mean to health and peace.
For his part, Al-Qahtani expressed his happiness over BOC reception stressing that the goals of this trip is unity of GCC countries. He praised the prestigious and notable level Kingdom of Bahrain reached in the prosperous era led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain wishing to have the honor of meeting His Majesty the King and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, commander of sports march and youth and sports in the Kingdom. He also expressed his pride over the sports achievements by the Kingdom in recent years which, he said, reflect the great attention given to this sector by the wise leadership.
Al-Qahtani began his voyage from headquarters of the Eastern province to Kuwait where he was received by officials. He will continue his journey from Bahrain to Qatar followed by UAE and Oman before it concludes at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh.
