?A post-graduate sports management diploma course, organized by the Bahrain Olympic Academy in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidariy Programme, got underway at K Hotel in Juffair.
Bahrain Olympic Committee sports affairs executive director Abduljalil Asad inaugurated the course, which was also attended by academy director Dr Nabeel Taha, Olympic Solidarity manager Maryam Mardana and participants from national sports clu9s and federations.
Asad welcomed the attendees and thanked them for taking part in this course, which is in line with the programmes offered by the committee in an attempt to develop and qualify national competencies in the field of sport.
Asad stressed the importance of the course, which includes various topics in the field of strategic planning, marketing, management, financial resources, human resources and events organization.
He noted that this is considered one of the best courses, and offers an approved certificate from the International Olympic Committee, which is the highest sports organization in the world. Asad added that the course features valuable sciences and knowledge that are beneficial for all the participants.
On his part, Dr. Taha said he is pleased with the number of participants from different sports-related parties, and stressed the importance of this event in improving the quality of the administrative work among sports officials.
He asserted the rich content of the programme, organized throughout the year, which would boost the experiences of participants, and create administrative competencies with distinctive experience and capabilities in administrative work, which would have positive outcome on the sports work outputs.
It’s worth noting that the first course commenced with the strategic planning theme, where strategic planning expert Abdulrada Al Moussawi gave an overview of sports organizations management, its relationship with each other, planning methods and several other related aspects.
