Arab women sports officials meet today

?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant secretary general and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary general Abdulrahman Askar today (Saturday) will inaugurate the consultative meeting for the Arab Women’s Sports Tournament, to be held in Sharjah.
The tournament is organized by the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees (UANOC) and features sports teams from all around the Arab region.
Today’s meeting, scheduled to commence at 10am at the Sheraton Hotel in Manama, will bring a number of reports on its agenda, such as the overall report of the fourth edition of the tournament held in February 2018.
The organizing committee will also discuss various points in regards to the previous tournament, in addition to discussing a report of the Doping Committee and several amendments on the event regulations.
The agenda includes the future meetings of the working committees and evaluating the work of the main committees in the tournament. They will then present requests to head of UANOC Women’s Committee Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa to add more sports to the activities.
The organizing committee is headed by Nada Askar, and includes general secretary of UANOC Saud bin Ali Al Abdulaziz, assistant general secretary Khalid Al Hussain, member Dr Bassil Al Shaer and coordinator Mohammed Al Zayad.
