?Registration for appointments with Dr Jussi Rantanen are now open at the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s National Sports Medicine Centre in Isa Town.
The Finnish orthopedic surgeon will be visiting Bahrain later this month from November 6 to 7 to undergo a number of orthopedic surgeries and inspections for athletic and non-athletics patients.
Rantanen has been an orthopedic surgeon since 1998 and is a founder of a hospital in Finland six years ago and is still chairman of the board.
BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar has directed the National Sports Medicine Centre to make the most of this important visit in developing the activities of the facility.
This will be the third visit for Rantanen to the kingdom this year, having been to Bahrain in June and two months later when he conducted his first surgery at the National Sports Medicine Centre.
These visits are part of the National Sports Medicine Centre plan to offer the best quality medical treatment services for both athletes and ordinary people.
National Sports Medicine Centre director Dr Khalid Al Shaikh said this visit is one of the significant moves made by the centre and promises to contribute to the development of the quality of the available services.
Dr. Al Shaikh said that appointments will be limited on first-come-first-serve basis, and noted that the Centre has completed all arrangements for this visit by allowing patients to book for appointments with the doctor at the centre premises at Khalifa Sports City.
