The BOC is committed to ensuring a clean sports environment in the Kingdom that is free from doping, in order to protect athletes and the integrity of sport. The National Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre is currently responsible for oversight of the BOC’s anti-doping governance activities, including the high-level National Anti-Doping Committee.

The establishment of an autonomous National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) of the Kingdom of Bahrain – with its own dedicated website – is planned for 2021. This is in line with the latest guidelines and directives of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the UNESCO International Convention Against Doping in Sport, to which the Kingdom of Bahrain is a signatory.

In the meantime, please refer to the Anti-Doping Governance section of this website, for details of the BOC’s anti-doping responsibilities and activities.
