?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) recently hosted its annual Ramadan ‘Ghabga’ to honour its employees at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Conference Centre in Manama.
The function was also attended by BOC acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, in addition to board member Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Abdulhakim Al Shino, Ruqaya Al Ghasra, committee directors and sections heads.
In his speech, Askar stressed the importance to work in the ‘one family’ spirit to continue the march of the achievements and gains of the Bahrain Olympic Committee over the past years.
Askar urged all employees to exert more effort to implement the new strategy, which aims to improve the sports movement at various levels.
He also praised the support given to the committee by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council General Secretary and BOC Vice President Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.
Many cash and other fabulous prizes were given away through raffle draw and quiz contests on this occasion, while outgoing Sports Affairs Executive Director Noaman Al Hassan received a special award in appreciation to his efforts.
