There was no stopping Al Zain, who completed her medal haul of the day, taking home the 100m freestyle gold following a well-contested affair with Cassandra who claimed the silver. Ala’a rounded off the podium taking the bonze medal.
There were five more events in the intermediate stage, as Aina Greenway bagged double gold medals in the 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.
The British School student completed the 50m backstroke event first against silver medalist Fatma Mohammed of Arad School and bronze medal winner Shaikha Tareq of Zanobia School.
